Imperial Trends LTD is the data controller for Imperial Trends services (PriceWatch, Trending products, Fee calculators, Brand check). This explains exactly what we hold, why, who else sees it, and what you can make us do about it. It is written to be read rather than to cover us.
1.What we collect, and why
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and a hashed password | To create and secure your account | Until you delete your account |
| The ASINs on your watchlist and their settings | To provide the service | Until you delete them or your account |
| Price and stock history for those ASINs | It is the product | Until you delete the ASIN or your account |
| Your own custom column values | You chose to store them | Until you delete them or your account |
| Your Trending products settings (categories, fee and postage figures, VAT status, the daily email switch and a log of those emails) and any categories you ask us to add | To show your Trending list and send the daily email you turned on | Until you change them or delete your account |
| How many Brand check look-ups you make each day | To apply the free daily limit | Until you delete your account |
| A ledger of every price check and what it cost | Billing accuracy and dispute resolution | 6 years (UK tax record-keeping) |
| Purchase records and your Stripe customer reference | Billing and accounting | 6 years (UK tax record-keeping) |
| An audit log of account actions, including IP address | Security, fraud prevention and abuse investigation | 12 months |
| Support tickets and issue reports you submit | To answer you | 24 months |
| Our eBay management clients' shop records: orders (item, price, status), what each order cost, eBay's fees, monthly statements and proof of supplier refunds | To run the client's shop and work out the profit split. Proof screenshots can show a buyer's address; our team is asked to crop it out | 6 years (UK tax record-keeping) |
| Our eBay management clients' buyers: name, delivery address and phone number for each order. We handle these on the client's behalf, under a written agreement | To send each order to its buyer. An order never marked delivered counts as closed 30 days after it was sent; nothing is kept beyond 12 months after the sale | 90 days after the order closes |
We do not store card numbers — those go directly to Stripe and we never see them. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
2.Our legal bases
- Contract — your account, watchlist, checks, alerts and billing. We cannot provide the service without these.
- Legal obligation — keeping purchase and ledger records for six years for UK tax.
- Legitimate interests — the security audit log (including IP address), to detect abuse and protect other customers. You can object; see section 5.
3.Who else sees it
These are every third party that receives any data, and precisely what they get:
| Who | For | What they get | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Name, email, card details (we never see or store card numbers), billing address | EU / US |
| Resend | Transactional and alert email delivery | Your email address and the contents of emails we send you | EU / US |
| Oxylabs | Retrieving public Amazon product pages | The ASINs you track. No personal data is sent. | EU |
| Cloudflare | DNS, CDN and DDoS protection | IP address and request metadata | Global |
| Hostinger | Our support mailbox | Anything you put in an email to us | EU |
| Suppliers and delivery companies | Delivering our eBay management clients' orders | The buyer's name, delivery address and phone number for that one order | UK |
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision. We will also disclose data if the law requires it.
4.Where it lives
The service runs on our own hardware in the United Kingdom. Your watchlist and price history are stored there, not with a third-party cloud provider. Backups are held on the same equipment.
5.Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you;
- Correct anything wrong;
- Delete your account and data — subject only to billing records we must keep for six years;
- Export your data. Your watchlist exports to CSV from the dashboard right now, without asking us;
- Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests;
- Withdraw consent to alert emails — there is a switch on your account, and it does not affect essential emails such as receipts.
Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
6.Cookies and browser storage
We use no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner. Your browser keeps only what signing in needs and the settings you choose yourself — both are exempt from consent, and none of it follows you around the web:

You can clear any of these in your browser’s settings; clearing the cookies signs you out.
Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set its own security cookies. Our email provider records whether a message was delivered.
